If you find yourself overthinking & pondering a lot, this one is for you!

Do something. I don’t care what it is. Anything! It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t even have to be the right step. Just do something.

Let’s take an example of a guy. Let’s call him David. So our friend David is overweight & he wants to lose weight. He starts thinking about joining a gym. He keeps searching for a good one near his place. Days pass by, he is still searching. After about a couple of weeks, he starts contemplating if joining a gym would even help him or not. He then starts reading about a diet. Now he feels that this diet is THE SHIT! He gets excited about it & starts writing down all the groceries he might need to follow this new diet. Another week goes by and David is still at the same exact weight. That grocery list is sitting over his table collecting dust. He never went through with the diet & ofcourse he never bothered joining that gym.

David gets frustrated, throws his laptop away & goes out of his house. He just starts running. After a while he thinks to himself… “Well this wasn’t so bad. Infact you know what, I can do this. I can just go out & run everyday & we’ll take it forward from there. I got this. I’ll crush it.”

Now David has 6 pack abs, he is dating a model & earns 100k$ a week. Also, if he sees you anywhere, he will beat the shit out of you, take all your money & also your girlfriend. (JK :P)

Story Ends.

So What’s the Moral of the story?

Action – Leads to motivation & increased confidence in yourself.

Over Thinking/Pondering – Leads to anxiety & leaves you in the same situation.

When you find yourself stuck in a loop & you just gather the will to do something, it immediately changes your thought process. Not only does it help you feel better, whatever small action you had taken, motivates you to take even bigger actions. You start thinking “if I can do this, then well I can also do that”. This also increases your confidence & amplifies the chances of you taking another step in that direction.

Whereas, if you keep thinking about it, nothing will change. Overthinking will only keep you in the same spot & make you feel more shitty about the situation.

So.. If you find yourself overthinking. You know what to do. Just get up and do something. No matter what it is, it’s going to be better than just falling into that infinite loop of overthinking.
