We do what’s actually important for us. What do you do when you fall sick? You treat yourself. At that time you aren’t distracted. You are focused on fixing the issue at hand & getting back to normal. What would you do if your mother or father fell sick? You would do anything possible to help them out. Similarly, if there is a goal you want to achieve but you just don’t seem to be getting any closer – ask yourself. Is it actually important? Is it actually your priority? It might not even be a goal. It might be something which is bothering you. Maybe a previous relationship, someone at work, your own health, the career you are in etc.

If it’s actually important & you really want it bad, then there is only one thing that needs your attention. And that is being consistent. Consistency would be doing what is required despite insecurities, failure, success, setbacks, drama, whatever.

The one who succeeds – is the one who can fight everything. Insecurities, failures, loss, etc. When the chips are down & nothing seems to work. Do you still have the courage to get up & think big? When what you want to achieve seems impossible – will you still have the courage to maintain the mental toughness required? If you stand your ground & march on, you will win.

Remind yourself to stay patient. I’ve realised one thing. Anything worth having requires patience. No matter what the situation might feel like, if you stay patient & deal with it calmly/logically. You will figure it out.

“You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing things with logic. True power is restraint. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass.” – Unknown
